Alliance for Community Transportation Rebrands its Call Center Services as ‘TripLink’

Dover, NH, August 18, 2016 – COAST and the Alliance for Community Transportation are pleased to announce that COAST’s Call Center has been rebranded as TripLink.  This change has been implemented to highlight the call center’s role as a regional resource and the services it provides to partner agencies.

TripLink hosts a well-established Community Transportation Directory (www.communityrides.org) and is focused on helping seniors and individuals with disabilities find transportation that meet their needs, especially non-emergency medical transportation, shopping trips, and access to nutrition services.

In addition to providing information and referrals to the general public, TripLink also performs call-taking and driver scheduling on behalf of COAST, Ready Rides, ACT’s Community Rides program, and this fall they will begin working with Rockingham Nutrition and Meals on Wheels.  Consolidating these call center services in one location will help nonprofit transportation providers operate more efficiently and make it easier for the public to find the services they need.  This work is part of a national effort funded through the Veterans Transportation and Community Living Initiative to create similar One-Call One-Click Centers around the country.

As part of ACT’s mission to facilitate access to existing services, it will be holding a number of travel training sessions at area senior centers this fall.  Travel training serves to familiarize people with the bus and demand response transportation services that are available in Strafford and eastern Rockingham County.

TripLink can be reached at (603) 834-6010 or triplink@communityrides.org.
