Full Time Bookkeeper/Office Manager
Responsible for processing financial transactions and creating financial reports. The processing of financial transactions includes posting information to accounting journals or accounting software from such source documents as invoices to customers, cash receipts, and supplier invoices. The bookkeeper also reconciles accounts to ensure their accuracy. Formulates and administers approved accounting practices to assure that financial and operating reports accurately reflect the condition of the organization and provide reliable information.
Also responsible for the organization and coordination of office operations, procedures and resources to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency. General responsibility for the planning, organization, development, and completion of multiple complex projects.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software products required. Must possess strong management and interpersonal skills; excellent written and oral communication skills. Considerable “hands on” initiative and independent judgment is required to facilitate and complete projects.
Competitive pay and benefits package. An Associate's degree in accounting is preferred, along with knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures and a minimum of two years responsible accounting or bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and financial reports. Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated working knowledge of QuickBooks, Sage/Peachtree or related computer accounting software. Knowledge of data management, financial data analysis and Accrual accounting strongly preferred.
