What are the characteristics of a sustainable transportation system that will make the city the best place to live, work and visit for everyone?
That is the question participants in a new series of Portsmouth Listens study circles will be asked to tackle in the coming months. Having received the go-ahead to hold the study circles from the City Council on Monday, Portsmouth Listens is planning to launch the effort in May.
Jim Noucas, Portsmouth Listens co-chairman, said the study circles will be completed by June and should result in a report that can be used by the City Council and other city officials. Noucas said the exact dates are not yet set in stone and should be finalized in a week or so.
