ROCHESTER -- Committed to enhancing patient care, The Homemakers Health Services has expanded its home health care division and initiated a personal care services provider (PCSP) program.
“Our new personal care provider service was initiated in response to the needs of the community,” explained Linda Howard, chief executive officer of The Homemakers. “Many individuals with disabilities due to injuries or age do not have the capabilities to perform many of the tasks of daily living such as bathing, dressing, cooking and light housekeeping. and need long-term assistance. Our new PCSP program is a hybrid of our current homemaker and home health aide services and allows us to provide all of these services in one visit.”
Partnering with Great Bay Community College, the Agency’s PCSPs have undergone a 40 hour training certification program focusing on personal care and infection control as well as Alzheimer’s disease
