Cancer Society seeks volunteer drivers for cancer patients

Friday, November 16, 2012

As people are forced to deal with the burden of cancer treatment, the need for transportation assistance has grown. The American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery program helps cancer patients get to their treatments. Driver coordinators schedule the rides between volunteers and cancer patients. Drivers can work whenever it’s convenient for them, whether it be one morning or afternoon a week, or several days a week if desired. Becoming involved in the American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery program can make a major impact on the well-being of cancer patients in your community.

Drivers are urgently needed in the following towns:

Atkinson, Chester, Danville, Derry, East Derry, East Hampstead, East Kingston, Epping, Exeter, Fremont, Greenland, Hampstead, Hampton, Hampton Falls, Kingston, Londonderry, Newton, Newton Junction, New Castle, Newfield, Newmarket, North Hampton, North Salem, Pelham, Plaistow, Portsmouth, Raymond, Rye, Rye Beach, Salem, Sandown, Seabrook, Stratham and Windham.

Please call 1-800-227-2345 if you would like to help drive a cancer patient to their life-saving treatments.
