As of August 2015, ACT has begun providing Travel Training presentations to groups of seniors or individuals with disabilities to help them learn to access the region’s transportation network. Presentations are also given to service providers whose clients include seniors and individuals with disabilities.
ACT’s Travel Training program seeks to help individuals overcome barriers to transportation in order to promote independent travel and to improve access to health care.
Travel Training includes in-depth information on using the COAST and Wildcat Transit bus systems, including how to read the schedule, plan your route, and how much it costs. Information is also provided on the Demand Response programs in the Seacoast that pick riders up at their homes and bring them to medical appointments, shopping trips, etc.
For help using the transportation options available in the Seacoast, please call TripLink at 603-834-6010. One of our reservationists can help you find the resource that best meets your needs.
Check our Upcoming Events widget on the home page to see if any trainings are upcoming.
